So over the years I tried and tested lots… and I mean lots of diets, supplements and foods etc. just ask my team and you will know they think I am a little crazy!
But what this has given me is great insight into how food impacts our overall emotional outlook and ability to be the best version of ourselves that we can be.
I saw a drastic change in my health when I was younger and the power of detoxing, eating the right foods and exercising. So as I am always one to keep looking for new and improved ways of increasing vitality and health which I know has a big impact on my happiness and energy. I thought I’d share with you some of my favourite supplements.
– MSM is really powerful in allowing your body to perform at its best. It is an antioxidant and helps to cleanse your body of pathogens, reduces inflammation, increases blood supply and improves the overall health of your skin, hair, nails and joints.
I take high doses of MSM with high doses of Vitamin C. Now I am not a doctor or a nutritionalist so I would recommend you do your research into these products but I generally take around 3 x 1000mg tablets of MSM (when I first started I took myself up to 6000mg per day) and 3 x 1500mg of Vitamin C (up to twice a day for initial focus or help).
I take the tablet form, only for convenience although I believe it is better to take in its powdered state adding into your drinking water.
The general thinking behind this is that as the earth has evolved and we changed our environment and lifestyles so much, we are no longer getting the required dose of MSM when we would otherwise naturally get this.
Vitamin C – the reason why I take high doses way above the recommended dose is because Vitamin C is used to repair our bodies and generally we only consume enough to repair the daily issues, not leaving enough for our bodies to repair chronic issues.
When our bodies are challenged in some way our need for vitamin C rises. High doses of vitamin C can greatly increase recovery time and give our body the tools it needs to repair itself.
Just with the two supplements above I can say that I have seen noticeable improvements. Especially when I feel a virus coming on, I take the high doses at night and in the morning I can feel the difference.
Exercise – You are probably already aware of the benefits of exercise on your health but I would like to tie in a little side note. Imagine if you were very active, exercising 3 or 4 times a week and either going for a run or working out at the gym… Can you imagine yourself feeling depressed at the same time? Hopefully you will say no! As I cant. I’ve noticed a strong correlation between physical exercise and strong positive mental attitude, which I think is worth bearing in mine if you are becoming too stressed or bogged down with life. Forcing yourself initially, to get really active in the short term will start to transform your mindset and ultimately your life.
My latest products – I’ll write a review once I have some feedback on my latest products but they are:
Queba Petra aka Chanca Piedra tea which helps detox your liver. Your liver is one of the most important organs in repairing your body, so its important to keep it healthy.
Matcha Tea – Green tea – packed with antioxidants and nutrients. Im really looking forward to seeing how I feel after a week of taking these and the good thing is they don’t taste bad!! Such a relief.
Cashew and Almond butter – to provide your body and brain with the right fats to fuel you! I normally use Udo’s Choice oil… check it out… its really beneficial not only to fuelling your brain but also to helping you get rid of stored fat within your body along with the right diet and exercise. Athletes have used this oil (or Omega 3, 6 and 9) for a long time to get ripped or trim down for a competition.
Photo above includes some of the range of supplements I take, which all help if you fancy fuelling your body with the right nutrients and minerals to repair itself and enable you to be the best version of you!
Take care and speak soon.
